Tapan Das

Tapan Das, Ph.D., is Vice President and Head of Analytical and Quality Control at Spyre. He brings a broad range of CMC experience in biotherapeutics development and commercialization. He most recently served in various leadership and scientific roles at Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer/Pharmacia and had major contributions to the development and successful global approvals of several biotherapeutic medicines including Opdivo®, Empliciti®, and Opdualag® (mAb-mAb combination).

He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Jadavpur University, Calcutta; Ph.D. from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bombay; and Post-doctoral training from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York. He is a Fellow of AAPS (American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists) and previously served in AAPS Board of Directors as the Treasurer. He is also a member of Expert Committee in USP (United States Pharmacopeia).
