JD Lu

JD Lu, PhD, MPH is Senior Vice President and Head of Biometrics, bringing more than 25 years of experience in biostatistics, clinical development, data science, and biometrics leadership across academia and the biopharmaceutical industry. He has held senior leadership positions at large pharmaceutical and mid/small biotech companies including Prometheus Biosciences, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, and Johnson & Johnson, where he led biometrics organizations and supported the design, analysis, and execution of clinical development programs across multiple therapeutic areas. In addition to his industry leadership, Dr. Lu has extensive experience in biostatistical research, including the development and application of innovative statistical methodologies to clinical trials and drug development. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific publications and has contributed to methodological and clinical research throughout his career. Earlier in his career, he conducted oncology research and held academic appointments at American College of Radiology, Thomas Jefferson University, and Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Lu holds a Ph.D. in Biostatistics and an MPH in Health Policy and Management.
